Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate, inspect, and monitor power plant equipment safely and reliably.
  • •Recognize safety hazards and follow guidelines for personal, co-worker, and public protection.
  • •Observe variations in operating conditions and troubleshoot using meter and gauge readings.
  • •Monitor and record operational data via instruments, recording charts, annunciator systems, and monitoring devices.
  • •Operate and support equipment outside the control room under the direction of the Lead Operator or Control Room Operator.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •3+ years’ experience in a power plant environment, oilfield, or equivalent education and industrial experience.
  • •Drive and commitment to continue through the Operator training program, including Control Room Operator qualifications.
  • •Valid state driver’s license.
  • •Demonstrate ability to complete operator qualification training (Basic Duties and Phase I) and pass periodic oral/written examinations.
