Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead traffic studies for projects in California and support West Coast regional projects as needed.
  • •Caltrans experience required and ability to discuss projects with stakeholders and write concise technical reports.
  • •Provide guidance and coaching to entry-level/junior engineers or technicians to develop technical skills.
  • •Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects; prepare technical specification sections.
  • •Ensure work adheres to budgets and schedules with minimal supervision.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 125,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Certified Engineer (PE/TE/PTOE) license in California, or the ability to obtain the license within 6 months
  • •Master's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • •8+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • •Experience with traffic engineering projects and clients on the West Coast (California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada) or ITS projects and familiarity with traffic operational analysis and modeling
