Job Summary

Provide precise, commercial, timely legal advice and governance across multiple regions for an international engineering and energy client. Support UK & Europe, Middle East, Africa & CIS, and APAC teams by managing legal risk and cost, handling contracts and disputes, and supporting compliance initiatives. Work within a high-performing legal team on multi-jurisdiction matters, including input to litigation/disputes and oversight of external counsel and legal service providers.

•Deliver effective, timely, and cost-effective legal advice, support, governance, and compliance across relevant geographic regions.
•Support senior counsel with complex legal analysis, problem solving, research, guidance, and clear communication.
•Prepare for and support litigation/disputes, working with outside counsel and supervising as needed.
•Maintain matter and cost management databases and develop risk mitigation strategies based on legal risk and cost.
•Manage external legal service providers/vendors, proactively oversee legal risk/compliance, and share knowledge through training and guidance notes.

Key Requirements

•NQ to 3-year post-qualification experience in-house or in private practice.
•Strong commercial acumen with highly developed legal and analytical skills.

•Core contracting fundamentals including scope, risk allocation, indemnities, limitation of liability, variations/claims, termination, and dispute resolution.
•Basic disputes awareness, including how claims progress and how to support dispute strategy with stakeholders and external counsel.
