Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform launch, flight, and recovery of UAS including preflight inspections, operational checks, payload installation, and post-flight inspections.
  • •Conduct preventative maintenance on sensor equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles.
  • •Under direction of the Security UAS Manager, perform aerial data collection and QA checks to ensure adequate project coverage.
  • •Operate and maintain sUAS/drones for mapping, surveying, and inspections, including flight plan preparation, data processing, and documentation.
  • •Act as Pilot in Command, supervise other operators, integrate sUAS into security operations, and train team members on safe operation and required licensing.
Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certification.
  • •Current FAA UAS Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating.
  • •Valid driver’s license.
  • •Ability to pass background screening for access to facilities housed on Department of Defense (DOD) installations.
  • •Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted and work safely in extreme outdoor environments and at elevated heights.
