Job Summary

Support the kitchen team at One&Only The Palm by preparing and cooking authentic French dishes according to resort standards. Handle mise-en-place, ingredient inspection, storage and FIFO rotation, and ensure portion control and consistent food quality. Follow hygiene and food safety procedures compliant with HACCP, maintain kitchen equipment, assist with stock monitoring, and help deliver smooth service during day-to-day operations and high-volume events.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic French dishes in line with resort standards and recipes.
•Prepare mise-en-place, ensure ingredients are ready before service, and support senior chefs in the French cuisine section.
•Maintain food quality and portion control; inspect ingredients for freshness, quality, and suitability before use.
•Follow proper storage, labeling, and FIFO stock rotation; comply with hygiene and food safety standards including HACCP.
•Minimize food wastage, maintain kitchen equipment, and support stock monitoring, briefings/training, and high-volume events.

Key Requirements

•1–2 years of experience in a quality hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
•Experience in French cuisine is preferred, with strong basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
•Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary standards, including classical French techniques, sauces, and stocks.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a motivated, positive team approach.
•Good English communication skills; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
