Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop conceptual designs for electrical distribution systems from EHV/HV/MV to low voltage, including high voltage equipment, generation equipment, UPS plant, switchgear, and power control/monitoring.
  • •Lead the design of data centre electrical systems and equipment and provide client advice on electrical system requirements.
  • •Produce written design development notes, technical specifications, and tender documentation for electrical systems.
  • •Coordinate with other disciplines, including architect and structural engineers, to deliver integrated building services designs.
  • •Monitor installation of designed systems/equipment to ensure compliance with employer requirements, design specifications, and relevant safety codes.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered status with CIBSE or IET (or working towards Chartered status) or equivalent experience.
  • •Technical knowledge of relevant UK & EU regulations and design guides.
  • •IT literate with a technical understanding of relevant IT packages, including Trimble (formally Amtech).
  • •Understanding of the ETAP software package for HV modelling (fault current, current flow & harmonics).
  • •Working knowledge of RevitMEP or other 3D design software and AutoCAD to allocate/direction of work on projects.
