Job Summary

Lead configuration optimization for the F135 fleet within the Sustainment Program Management Office (SPMO). Own strategic configuration management planning to reduce and/or optimize configurations and Bill of Material (BoM), support engine core upgrade configuration and transition strategy, and help drive Product Change & Incorporation Review (PCIR) processes. Coordinate cross-functionally across engineering, logistics, operations, supply chain, and sustainment stakeholders to retire legacy configurations and enable efficient spare-parts cold-starts.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop strategic configuration management plans to reduce and/or optimize configurations and the applicable Bill of Material (BoM).
•Support the F135 Sustainment Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) lead to develop and implement configuration management and transition strategy.
•Support Product Change & Incorporation Review (PCIR) processes.
•Champion configuration optimization efforts and gain alignment across the organization.
•Engage in technical issues related to spare parts cold-starts and enable supply chain optimization among part producers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
•12 years of engineering, or an advanced degree with 10 years of engineering experience.
•U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program/contract.
•Strong systems engineering background with proven technical acumen.
•Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and strategic leadership skills with a track record delivering results in cross-functional teams.
