Job Summary

Support and improve the IC design EDA environment used by silicon engineering teams, ensuring reliable tool operation and reproducible PDK/flow usage across analog/RF/mixed-signal and digital workflows. You’ll triage and debug issues (DRC/LVS/PEX, simulation, EM, licenses, HPC, and environment problems), maintain runbooks and documentation, and build lightweight automation in scripting languages to reduce recurring support and improve methodology robustness.

Key Responsibilities

•Support day-to-day EDA/CAD workflows for RFIC and silicon engineering teams, including tool launch, environment setup, PDK usage, simulation, physical verification, extraction, and related Linux workflows.
•Support analog/RF/mixed-signal flows and digital/physical verification flows (including tools such as Virtuoso, Spectre, and EM tools).
•Assist with PDK installation, qualification, version tracking, release notes, and deployment support for supported foundry processes.
•Triage and resolve issues across DRC, LVS, PEX, simulation, EM, licenses, HPC, and environment problems using reproducible debug practices.
•Maintain and improve tool launch wrappers and automation (Python/Tcl/SKILL/shell/etc.), including runbooks/documentation and targeted QA tests before broad deployment.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
•2+ years of experience supporting EDA/CAD workflows and IC design flow development, physical verification, verification infrastructure, and/or CAD automation.
•Hands-on experience using or supporting major EDA flows (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre, Siemens Calibre, Synopsys digital tools, Keysight ADS, EMX/HFSS).
•Practical Linux and scripting experience (Python, shell, Tcl, Perl, Makefile, SKILL, or similar).
•Ability to independently triage well-scoped user issues, own small flow improvements, document resolutions, and escalate with clear evidence when needed.
