Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, and related components.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments; perform road tests to confirm proper operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete accurate DOT and other required documentation and repair orders, including uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent combination such as 5 years’ experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Maintain a current, valid DOT medical card (or be able to pass a DOT-regulated physical prior to employment).
  • •Be at least 21 years old with a valid state-of-residence driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
