Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop nominal trajectories under aerodynamic, structural, and range constraints.
  • •Build and maintain aerodynamic, propulsion, and mass models, including coefficient tables, interpolations, and uncertainty models.
  • •Build and maintain 3-DOF/6-DOF simulation tools and integrate the models into the tools.
  • •Run Monte Carlo campaigns to evaluate sensitivity to atmospheric variation and aero/trajectory uncertainties.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree/PhD without experience.
  • •Internship or research experience in trajectory design, aerodynamics, GNC, or mission analysis.
  • •Experience with aerodynamic coefficient tables, atmospheric disturbance modeling, or uncertainty quantification.
  • •Experience integrating aerodynamic, propulsion, and mass models into 3-DOF/6-DOF simulations.
  • •Familiarity with STK, GMAT, or similar mission analysis tools, plus exposure to telemetry analysis and post-flight reconstruction.
