Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and evolution of Fieldguide's core platform services, including foundational systems, APIs, and shared primitives used across products and agents
  • •Build platform capabilities that multiply the impact of product and AI engineers by turning hard problems into reusable building blocks
  • •Define architecture for delivering product capabilities across SaaS, enterprise single-tenant, and government-cloud environments
  • •Partner with product, design, and AI engineering leaders to translate customer needs into platform investments
  • •Drive cross-team initiatives to improve product velocity, system reliability, and consistency across the application

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time building product-facing platforms or foundational services
  • •Strong product instincts and a track record of shipping platform capabilities that unlock meaningful customer outcomes

  • •Strong fluency with modern cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, and distributed systems
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to drive alignment across engineering, product, and design
