Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement the school’s inclusion strategy to identify, support, and empower students with diverse learning needs.
  • •Collaborate with the SENDCo to implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress toward targets.
  • •Build strong relationships with students and families to ensure needs are met, supporting students’ social-emotional wellbeing.
  • •Promote inclusive teaching by supporting whole teaching and learning policy and establishing clear classroom routines and high expectations for behaviour and academic work.
  • •Monitor specialist assessment data and use it to inform practice alongside pastoral and teaching leaders, while ensuring student safety and safeguarding compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •UK-approved Inclusion qualification for working with young people/children in a school environment (e.g., a Master’s in SEN/Inclusion plus a relevant PGCE).
  • •3 years’ experience as an Inclusion leader in an international setting within a high-performing school.
  • •Track record of improving Inclusion provision in a through-school environment (age 3–18) is preferred.
  • •Up-to-date knowledge of best practice and current Inclusion policy in UAE, UK, and globally (including KHDA Inclusion guidelines).
  • •Experience managing IEPs, interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
