Job Summary

Set up, run, and adjust manufacturing equipment to produce quality plastic film and bag products while following safety, GMP, and ISO standards. Monitor and record quality data, manage changeovers, start/stop machinery, and adjust settings to maintain yields and reduce scrap. Stage materials, support packing and labeling tasks, perform routine maintenance/PMs, and assist/training employees from entry level.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up, run, and adjust manufacturing equipment to produce plastic film and bag products in a safe environment.
•Follow safety, GMP, and ISO policies; conduct daily safety checks and maintain 6-S housekeeping standards.
•Maintain quality standards by checking and recording quality data, reporting weight variances, and handling bad quality product.
•Perform changeovers and machine adjustments (threading, heat profiles, yields, screen changes, bag dimensions, separator/input speed/alignment) while staging and returning materials.
•Set up and rebuild printers/tapers, perform minor equipment repairs and routine PMs, and complete maintenance work requests as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED, preferred.
•3 to 6 months experience working as a Packer 2 and/or 3 to 6 months experience working in manufacturing in a related field.
•Ability to follow safety, GMP, and ISO policies and work in a team-oriented environment.
•Ability to read and understand a traveler and document quality and weight on bag check sheets.
•Ability to use hand tools for mechanical repairs and perform basic math used for measuring and recording weights.
