Job Summary

Lead the technical delivery of stormwater, revetment, and drainage engineering projects, from concept through consenting and construction. Produce research, feasibility studies, analysis, and client-ready reporting, while applying strong expertise in stormwater reticulation and drainage strategy and investigation. Create, review, and verify engineering models, designs, calculations, and contract documentation, and support quality processes. Coach and mentor junior team members and coordinate across India and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the technical delivery of stormwater, revetment, and drainage projects, providing design inputs from concept through consenting and construction.
•Produce research, feasibility studies, analysis, and client-ready reporting with high technical and grammatical quality.
•Develop and apply technical knowledge of stormwater reticulation, drainage, and revetment engineering, including supervising others in these areas.
•Produce and review engineering models, designs, calculations, and contract documentation, including specifications, schedules, estimates, and drawings for NZS 3910 and NZS 3916.
•Support, coach, and mentor team members while ensuring quality processes (technical reviews, verification, approval to release) are completed on time and cost-effectively.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a Masters in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or similar) preferred.
•Professional Registration (Chartered Engineer status or equivalent).
•Minimum 15 years’ post-qualification experience in stormwater engineering and design, including at least 4 years leading stormwater projects from concept through construction and coaching junior staff.
•At least 6 years’ experience using Civil 3D as a stormwater design tool (e.g., basins, channels, drainage) with extensive use in the last 12 months.
•Experience with earthworks modelling using Civil 3D.
