Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the technical delivery of stormwater, revetment, and drainage projects, providing design inputs from concept through consenting and construction.
  • •Produce research, feasibility studies, analysis, and client-ready reporting with high technical and grammatical quality.
  • •Develop and apply technical knowledge of stormwater reticulation, drainage, and revetment engineering, including supervising others in these areas.
  • •Produce and review engineering models, designs, calculations, and contract documentation, including specifications, schedules, estimates, and drawings for NZS 3910 and NZS 3916.
  • •Support, coach, and mentor team members while ensuring quality processes (technical reviews, verification, approval to release) are completed on time and cost-effectively.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a Masters in Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or similar) preferred.
  • •Professional Registration (Chartered Engineer status or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 15 years’ post-qualification experience in stormwater engineering and design, including at least 4 years leading stormwater projects from concept through construction and coaching junior staff.
  • •At least 6 years’ experience using Civil 3D as a stormwater design tool (e.g., basins, channels, drainage) with extensive use in the last 12 months.
  • •Experience with earthworks modelling using Civil 3D.
