Engineer and operate distributed, multi-tenant compute primitives for Temporal Cloud. You’ll design self-optimizing autoscaling, define cloud-boundaries for compute capabilities, and ship end-to-end platform features with an emphasis on performance, safety, observability, and multi-cloud operability.

Key Responsibilities

•Invent: Create new managed compute primitives with clean APIs and an extension story across compute providers.
•Own: Architect, build, and operate services on the hot path of task execution with attention to performance and correctness.
•Teach: Lead through design docs, code reviews, and mentoring to influence multiple teams.
•Deliver: Implement real-world cloud integrations, IAM boundaries, secure credentials handling, networking constraints, quotas, and failure modes.
•Ship: Manage end-to-end API design, rollout strategy, backwards compatibility, and long-term maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 176,000 - 237,600 annually

•Comfort owning outcomes including SLOs, incident response, and improving on-call quality.
•Excellent written communication and crisp tradeoff thinking; Go experience is a plus.
