Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards using the company hauler.
  • •Maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including hands-on freight handling.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck while keeping equipment clean and operationally ready.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time; represent CarMax professionally when interacting with vendors, store associates, and the public.

Salary: USD 28.6 - 48.7 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) issued by the state and 2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (or 2+ years of CMV driving experience at CarMax).
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and ability to meet CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks to meet FMCSA and CarMax load securement standards.
  • •Ability to climb, bend, and kneel to secure vehicles on multi-level transport decks; comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
