Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and monitor team work activities, performance, and people processes including timesheets, time off, and HRIS updates.
  • •Provide strategic leadership and guidance for World Relief’s fundraising strategy and external engagement in Chicagoland, including annual private fundraising plans.
  • •Lead major donor growth by identifying, cultivating, and acquiring prospects and managing a portfolio of major donors through personalized engagement.
  • •Oversee advancement communications including planning/implementation, ensuring consistent branding and messaging, and supporting content creation.
  • •Work with leadership to develop and launch an advisory board for Chicagoland and coordinate execution across church engagement, development, communications, and volunteer engagement teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 115,000 annually

  • •Mature and personal Christian faith and commitment to World Relief’s mission, vision, and values.
  • •Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, including 3–5 years managing major donor portfolios.
  • •Experience managing others to do effective fundraising.
  • •Ability to build trust-based, collaborative relationships with donors, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • •Strong background in strategic communications and ethical storytelling, including coaching teams for consistent messaging.
