Job Summary

Staff Software Engineer responsible for designing and implementing low-latency, scalable edge-protocol software (TLS/HTTP/QUIC) in a distributed environment. You’ll write C and Rust, mentor engineers, contribute to open source projects, and shape a technical roadmap while collaborating across teams to deliver secure, high-performance edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Write, test, and deploy both C and Rust code.
•Enhance, maintain and optimize network software that implements protocols including TLS, HTTP, QUIC, etc.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to shape a clear technical roadmap and deploy features to customers.
•Contribute to open source projects such as h2o and picotls.
•Mentor and support the professional growth of engineers and foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 211,370 - 253,644 annually

Key Requirements

•Proven ability to design and implement reliable, scalable, low-latency systems with at least 7 years of domain-relevant engineering experience.
•Significant production experience with coding in C, C++, and/or Rust.
•Experience with Linux systems and network programming
•Hands-on experience building distributed infrastructure and maintaining it over time
•Mentor and support the growth of engineers and collaborate across cross-functional teams
