  • •Conduct invention-disclosure meetings and describe innovations in writing.
  • •Oversee and review outside counsel drafts of U.S. patent applications and conduct prior-art searches and patentability analyses.
  • •Evaluate disclosures and recommend protection strategies (e.g., utility patents, design patents, trade secrets, defensive publications).
  • •Support domestic and international prosecution, coordinate foreign filings, manage portfolio records and deadlines, and help establish IP processes and training.

Key Requirements

  • •Registered to practice before the USPTO as a Patent Agent.
  • •Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Civil/Structural Engineering, Physics, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • •Approximately 3+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience, in-house and/or at a law firm.
  • •Demonstrated experience drafting/reviewing utility patent applications and responding to USPTO Office Actions.
  • •Strong ability to understand mechanical systems and communicate effectively with engineers and inventors.
