Key Responsibilities

•Build and advance engagement and relationships with local governments, NGOs, academia, think tanks, and other stakeholders across the region.
•Advise internal teams on emerging public policy matters and align plans with relevant regulations and policy frameworks.
•Shape public policy discussions for the tech industry, advocating for policies that support innovation, competition, and responsible technology use.
•Lead the development and growth of the public policy team and foster a high-performance culture.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, brand, communications, and product to align policy goals with business objectives, and serve as an external advocate for TikTok’s Mission, values, and principles.

Key Requirements

•10+ years managing public policy and/or government relations and advocacy work, preferably in the tech industry.
•Strong understanding of political systems, institutions, and the regional cultural landscape across Southern Europe.
•Established network with policy makers and opinion leaders throughout the region.
•Very strong understanding of public policy issues including child safety and privacy, plus other tech policy topics.
•Experience as a people manager capable of developing and growing a public policy team.
