Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide MFLC consultation and counseling services to the command structure, service members, and families at military installations.
  • •Deliver non-medical, short-term, solution-focused walk-around counseling, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referrals, and follow-up as indicated.
  • •Conduct training and health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and other base activities as requested.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application to ensure accurate reporting while maintaining client/service member confidentiality.
  • •Respond to critical incidents, surge and on-demand events, and special requests; manage duty to warn and restricted reporting situations per DoD protocol.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in a relevant field of study, including mental health fields such as social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling.
  • •Valid, unrestricted independent counseling license that grants authority to provide counseling as an independent practitioner (e.g., LMHC/LMFT/LCSW or equivalent).
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Demonstrate intermediate-level technology competencies (Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet application navigation, and video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to prove US citizenship and be fluent in English; pass required background checks including NACI clearance and an FBI fingerprints check.
