Job Summary

Maintain and service ammonia refrigeration systems and related plant utilities, including boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, valves, and HVAC. Perform preventive maintenance on compressors and control components, document repairs and daily activities, and keep required PSM paperwork up to date. Coordinate with Maintenance Management and teammates to support production, follow safety guidelines with required PPE, and be available for weekend or additional shift work.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and service ammonia refrigeration systems and related utility equipment to ensure safe operation of the ammonia refrigeration system and plant utilities (boilers, air compressors, pumps, motors, valves, and HVAC).
•Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on compressors, boilers, air compressors, valves, and related equipment.
•Document daily repair activities, potential issues, and maintain required paperwork associated with the PSM program.
•Communicate with Maintenance Management and fellow workers to provide production-related information via face-to-face, writing, telephone, or electronic transfer.
•Maintain a neat and orderly work area, use required PPE, follow company safety guidelines, and be available for weekend and/or additional shift work.

Key Requirements

•Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to use required tools/equipment to maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration systems and utilities.
•Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints for plant ammonia systems.
•Experience with screw and reciprocating compressors, Cornell recirculation pumps, HVAC units, boilers, air compressors, and associated control systems.
•Willingness to acquire Hazmat Responder Certification and be an active part of the Hazmat Response Team (including HAZWOPER training and certification).
