Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform on-site electrical maintenance operations within your responsibility and ensure they are carried out safely and efficiently per company procedures and industry practice.
  • •Assist specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC) and support Seniors on site in applying HSE policies and procedures.
  • •Maintain equipment availability on the production site and carry out maintenance and repairs in strict compliance with operating procedures and statutory legislation.
  • •Troubleshoot and test small electrical installations (e.g., lighting and heat tracing circuits), including reading alarms, trips, and interlocks settings.
  • •Identify recurrent corrective maintenance interventions and recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs; report recurring issues related to spare parts and tools needs.

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 5 years’ experience in maintenance on O&G production installations, especially electrical.
  • •Knowledge of O&G treatment installations and the instrument equipment used in O&G treatment installations.
  • •Understanding and use of basic physics laws and units (e.g., resistance, inductance, DC/AC current and voltage, frequency, active/reactive power), including differentiating low vs high voltages.
  • •Ability to read and use drawings (single line and schematic diagrams), vendor documents, and name plates, including electrical symbols.
  • •Hands-on electrical testing and maintenance skills: select/use hand tools for electricians, perform insulation and continuity tests, and use instruments such as multimeters, clip-on ammeters, Ohmmeter, and earth testing equipment.
