Job Summary

Senior Project Controller at WSP will monitor and control project progress across Lakewood CO, Salt Lake City UT, and Phoenix AZ offices within Earth & Environment. You’ll develop execution, quality, and risk plans; coordinate scope, schedule, and costs; manage budgets and invoicing; oversee project documentation; and support the Project Manager to anticipate requirements and resolve issues, enabling successful on-time, on-budget delivery across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

•Integrate and coordinate the project according to WSP’s approach and archiving of project documentation; coordinate lessons learned, client feedback, and sub-consultant evaluations.
•Develop and maintain project execution plans, quality management plans, and risk management plans for PM review; monitor performance against the plan and contract terms.
•Set up and maintain budgets, expenditures, and cost forecasting; interface with accounting to ensure timely invoicing and AR management.
•Coordinate development of scope statements and Work Breakdown Structure; maintain client communications related to change orders and project schedules.
•Produce regular progress reports and manage data transfer, filing systems, and risk registers; uphold ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.

Key Requirements

•College diploma or University degree in an Engineering or Science related field
•Minimum of five years of experience in related project support in a multi-disciplinary environment
•Experience creating and monitoring project plans, schedules and budgets for multi-disciplinary projects
•Working knowledge of project management principles and PMI’s Body of Knowledge
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint
•Experience working with Primavera P6 to produce detailed independent schedules and network diagrams
•Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by company policies
•Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
•Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
