Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate, analyze, design, implement, and administer IT/database solutions, including database server configuration and ongoing maintenance.
  • •Analyze infrastructure and processes to recommend best practices that improve operational procedures, uptime, and recoverability.
  • •Administer backup and disaster recovery; oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication, failover, and restoration of corrupted databases.
  • •Develop and review action plans for maintenance, deployments, and upgrades, ensuring relevant client documentation is completed.
  • •Participate in on-call rotation, lead problem management by assessing incidents and recurring patterns, and prepare client status and incident reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge and experience installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases and relevant Oracle administration tools.
  • •Automation experience with technologies such as Ansible and Terraform, plus exposure to tools like Puppet, Chef, or SALT.
  • •Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex database and operational issues.
  • •Very good documentation skills, including maintaining accurate client documentation and notes.
  • •Experience with cloud-native or managed monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Operations/Stackdriver, Azure Monitor) is desired.
