Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and continuously improve SOX IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs), and IT-Dependent Manual Controls (ITDMs), including audit-ready documentation and evidence support.
  • •Coordinate control walkthroughs and assess control design and operating effectiveness across areas such as logical access, privileged access, change management, SDLC, backups/recovery, disaster recovery, segregation of duties, and management review controls.
  • •Plan and execute risk-based IT and cybersecurity audits from planning through reporting, including interviews, testing, evidence evaluation, and clear communication of findings.
  • •Analyze large datasets to support audits and control testing (user access reviews, role/SoD assessments, exception analysis, sampling, reconciliations, and trend analysis).
  • •Partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve governance and audit readiness, aligned to SOX, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and third-party assurance reports (e.g., SOC).

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of direct, full-time experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, IT controls, cybersecurity governance, or internal controls.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent hands-on experience specialized in SOX and IT audits).
  • •Demonstrated experience performing ITGC, ITAC, and ITDM testing and supporting risk assessments and deficiency remediation.
  • •Strong understanding of SOX 404 and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), including IT General Controls and identity/change management concepts.
  • •Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliations, exception reporting, audit sampling) and strong communication/interviewing skills.
