  • •Plan, execute, and characterize development engineering experiments in lab and manufacturing environments with iterative de-risking.
  • •Apply statistical and engineering methods to optimize organizational effectiveness and develop work plans with unclear solution paths.
  • •Evaluate material and tool/equipment specifications for improved performance.
  • •Comply with Environmental, Quality, Safety policies; may train, mentor, and manage junior engineers/peers.

Salary: USD 99,600 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (engineering or similar technical discipline) plus 20 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer III at First Solar.
  • •Master’s degree (engineering or similar technical discipline) plus 15 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer III at First Solar.
  • •Ph.D. (engineering or similar technical discipline) plus 10 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer III at First Solar.
  • •Technical expert/innovator in a perovskite process and/or equipment development area.
  • •Deep knowledge across photovoltaic device theory, materials science, process engineering, and characterization techniques; strong communication to lead cross-functional teams.
