Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, implement, and maintain container orchestration (Kubernetes) and supporting infrastructure across Adyen’s global private cloud.
  • •Develop tooling and automation to improve provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows, enabling self-service for engineering teams.
  • •Own availability and performance of critical platform systems, participate in on-call rotations, and drive incident response and postmortems.
  • •Collaborate with platform engineers in Chicago as part of a global 24/7 infrastructure team across multiple regions and datacenters.
  • •Contribute to architectural decisions and platform modernization initiatives, including multi-region resilience and infrastructure standardization.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of platform, infrastructure, or software engineering experience.
  • •Advanced Linux system administration and networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls, with solid security fundamentals.
  • •Hands-on Kubernetes experience at scale, including cluster operations, networking, and troubleshooting.
  • •Experience with HashiCorp tools (Terraform, Consul, Nomad, Vault) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD).
  • •Intermediate-to-advanced Bash plus intermediate-to-advanced Python or Go for production-quality automation tooling.
