Job Summary

Lead credit analysis, underwriting, loan structuring, origination, and portfolio management for a growing commercial and corporate portfolio on the Charlotte Commercial & Middle Market team. Partner with Relationship Managers to assess C&I and CRE borrower needs, develop lending proposals, and identify cross-sell opportunities. Oversee post-approval due diligence and documentation, maintain portfolio credit quality and servicing, and mentor junior portfolio team members alongside Credit Analysts.

•Lead the analysis, underwriting, origination, and portfolio management of loans in a commercial and corporate portfolio.
•Apply loan structuring, risk identification, risk mitigation, and the bank’s risk grading methodology and credit appetite.
•Manage relationships with C&I and income-producing real estate (CRE) borrowers, partnering with Relationship Managers on calls and lending proposals.
•Oversee post-approval due diligence requirements and assist with commercial loan documentation preparation.
•Build and maintain a targeted portfolio mix while mentoring junior team members and delegating origination and servicing tasks.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent in work experience) required.

•Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally with senior executives, business unit staff, and regulators.
•Strong computer skills using Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and highly proficient Excel.
