Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and deliver air quality projects supporting regulatory approvals, environmental impact assessments, and special studies.
  • •Conduct and oversee emissions inventories, dispersion modelling, and meteorological/ambient air quality analyses to characterize baseline conditions and develop monitoring/mitigation recommendations.
  • •Prepare and review technical reports, air permit applications, and regulatory submissions, and respond to technical questions from clients and regulators.
  • •Manage projects from proposal through closeout, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, progress reporting, invoicing, and proactive change management.
  • •Provide technical leadership through guidance, peer review, and QA/QC oversight, and mentor junior and intermediate team members.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in atmospheric science, environmental science, chemical/mechanical/environmental engineering, or a related discipline (a relevant graduate degree is an asset).
  • •5+ years of air quality consulting experience with increasing responsibility for technical assessments, project delivery, and client interaction.
  • •Strong experience applying AERMOD and/or CALPUFF, including model inputs, results evaluation, and communicating implications and limitations.
  • •Proven ability to interpret and apply air quality regulations, assessment guidelines, and permitting requirements, with BC/Metro Vancouver experience as a strong asset.
  • •Demonstrated success managing projects or major technical work packages, delivering high-quality work on schedule and within budget.
