Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and evolve Gymshark’s spatial design language across stores, formats, and geographies, including materials palettes, fixture families, and experiential standards.
  • •Raise and protect the craft standard across physical environments, ensuring work is excellent from first concept through build.
  • •Lead complex spatial projects from early planning and concept through build-ready documentation, producing layouts and material specifications for architects, shopfitters, and contractors.
  • •Translate design standards into requirements that hold up under commercial and operational pressure, protecting creative intent during delivery.
  • •Line manage and develop spatial designers through feedback, critique, and by setting the craft standard in your own work.

Key Requirements

  • •A background in interior design, architecture, spatial design, or a related discipline.
  • •Significant spatial design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft and conceptual thinking, including creating scalable spatial languages across formats and environments.
  • •Deep expertise in store planning, layout, zoning, and circulation, balancing experiential and commercial outcomes.
  • •Advanced knowledge of materials, finishes, and fixture families, with the ability to curate palettes that perform in retail and age appropriately.
  • •Advanced technical proficiency in CAD and 3D visualisation to produce detailed, build-ready documentation and specifications.
