Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain relationships with broker partners and customers across industries in support of business objectives.
  • •Use Property & Casualty underwriting skills to assess risk, evaluate exposure, and price new and renewal business.
  • •Collaborate cross-functionally with claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting to deepen industry knowledge.
  • •Apply technical underwriting and negotiation skills to grow and develop relationships with preferred distribution partners in an assigned territory.
  • •Serve as a customer advocate by understanding unique risks and delivering end-to-end solutions for Property & Casualty insurance needs.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 83,400 - 180,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma (or Equivalent) plus 3+ years underwriting or market-facing experience, OR 6+ years claims/underwriting support experience.
  • •Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including an Associate Degree) plus 1+ years (Specialist) or 3+ years (Executive Underwriter) underwriting or market-facing experience; alternatively 4+ or 8+ years claims/underwriting support for the respective level.
  • •Knowledge of line(s) of business, and legal and regulatory guidelines; plus knowledge of quote time restraints for new and renewal business.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office (Executive Underwriter explicitly requires Microsoft Office).
  • •Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree; broker relationships in the region; strong verbal and written communication skills.
