Job Summary

Coordinate NPI materials activities across suppliers and internal engineering to support semiconductor and display manufacturing. Forecast and communicate engineering/material/manufacturing needs, drive make-versus-buy and supplier sourcing decisions, and manage materials change control. Form and lead a Materials Core Team through matrix management, monitor supplier performance and cost targets, and track key process indicators while resolving quality issues in collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers and suppliers’ price/delivery negotiations as assigned.
•Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and manage materials planning deliverables via matrix management.
•Form and coordinate the Materials Core Team and drive product development process deliverables through buyers, planners, and production control.
•Execute commercialization (transition) materials plan, manage materials change control, and resolve cost and quality issues with engineering and quality partners.
•Utilize supplier selection/assessment processes, complete supplier risk assessment, monitor supplier performance, and generate/publish key process indicators.

•Demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in materials project/program management and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
•Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
•Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into materials strategy and plans.
•Use supplier sourcing and assessment processes, including supplier risk assessments and monitoring performance (delivery, quality, cost).
•Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and help lead small projects with manageable risks.
