Job Summary

Own the end-to-end technical benchmarking process for Snowflake’s Analytics portfolio, including defining testing strategy, designing benchmarking architecture, executing workloads, and validating results. Partner with Product Management and Engineering to compare Snowflake capabilities against competitors using rigorous, repeatable methodologies. Translate complex benchmark findings into customer outcomes and market-facing narratives across blogs, partner publications, technical papers, presentations, demos, and videos.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and own Snowflake’s technical benchmarking strategy for the Analytics portfolio.
•Design benchmarking methodologies, testing scopes, workload definitions, success criteria, and validation processes.
•Contribute to the architecture, development, and ongoing improvement of a scalable benchmarking platform.
•Execute benchmark tests, troubleshoot issues, analyze results, and validate findings with engineering and product stakeholders.
•Translate benchmark results into customer outcomes and market-facing narratives, and respond to competitive benchmark claims with relevant stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 165,000 - 216,300 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years of experience in product engineering, performance engineering, technical product marketing, competitive engineering, solutions architecture, data engineering, or a related technical role.
•Strong understanding of modern data platforms, cloud data warehouses, analytics engines, and business intelligence architectures.
•Hands-on experience designing and executing technical benchmarks, performance tests, workload comparisons, or competitive product evaluations.
•Experience working with SQL, data modeling, query performance analysis, workload management, and large-scale analytical systems.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating technical performance results into customer outcomes and business value.
