Originate and grow SBA loan opportunities with a focus on owner-occupied commercial real estate. Build pipelines through Centers of Influence (COIs), referral partners, and cold outreach, and serve as a consultative advisor to business owners. Manage the SBA lending process end-to-end—from origination and structuring to underwriting package submission and support through closings—while partnering with Business Banking, Community, and Commercial teams to exceed growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and originate SBA loan opportunities by building a strong pipeline through COIs, referral partners, cold outreach, and existing relationships.
•Meet with business owners (often at their place of business) to understand operations, goals, and financing needs, especially owner-occupied commercial real estate.
•Build, deepen, and maintain profitable specialty finance relationships with new and existing customers.
•Represent U.S. Bank in the market through participation in civic, community, and business events to generate new opportunities.
•Own the SBA lending process end-to-end, including origination/structuring, gathering and analyzing financial/credit information, submitting complete loan packages, delivering commitment letters, and supporting closings.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
•Five to eight years of experience in commercial credit, relationship banking, or other job-related experience.
•Demonstrated success in business development, B2B sales, and relationship-driven revenue growth (ideally financial services or commercial lending).
•Proven ability to build, manage, and leverage Centers of Influence (COIs) such as real estate professionals, CPAs, attorneys, brokers, and community leaders.
•Strong understanding of SBA lending products and SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), with credit/financial analysis and deal-structuring skills.
