Key Responsibilities

  • •Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement regional HR strategies that align with corporate objectives and address local market needs, acting as a strategic partner to local leadership with insights on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and organizational design.
  • •Talent Management: Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract, retain, and develop top talent in Japan; drive local training programs and oversee performance management.
  • •Global Engagement and Culture: Collaborate with global/APEC HR teams to implement inclusive leadership and equity strategies; foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement; enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • •Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Japan’s employment laws and regulations; manage HR-related risks and investigations.
  • •Team Leadership: Lead the local HR team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service across the Japan organization.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • •At least 8 years of expertise and practical experience in the field of human resources.
  • •Fluency in Japanese (Fluent-Native level) and English (Advanced business-Fluent level) required.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in employee compensation and benefits strategies.
  • •In-depth knowledge of the local employment laws and regulations.
