Key Responsibilities

  • •Own component qualification for new parts and new sources across electrical and mechanical commodities, including semiconductors, RF components, passives, connectors, PCB/PCBA, switches, fasteners, and related materials.
  • •Define and execute qualification plans to ensure compatibility and compliance for production and deployed EW systems.
  • •Identify critical single-source components across active EW designs and drive second-source qualification, owning technical tradeoffs, test plan, and qualification process.
  • •Perform form-fit-function analysis on candidate alternates and present findings to the change control board for approval and implementation.
  • •Drive engineering-side obsolescence by monitoring lifecycle status across active BOMs, triaging EOL and PCN notices, and resolving technical issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  • •5+ years in component engineering/parts engineering or materials and processes supporting electronic or electromechanical hardware.
  • •Hands-on experience qualifying alternate and second sources for production hardware, including form-fit-function assessment.
  • •Working knowledge of both electrical component families and mechanical/electromechanical hardware.
  • •Experience working directly with design engineers, sourcing/supply chain, and suppliers.
