Job Summary

Lead the Subscriptions engineering team that powers Paddle’s recurring revenue engine. You’ll manage and coach engineers, partner with a Product Manager to deliver the subscription lifecycle roadmap (plan changes, upgrades/downgrades, proration, trials, and billing schedules), and set the technical direction for scalable, high-traffic event-driven systems. This is a technical engineering manager role focused on reliability, metrics, and cross-functional execution.

•Facilitate delivery of initiatives from concept and planning through rollout, collaborating with engineers and non-technical colleagues.

•Drive improvements to team processes and practices, changing what isn’t working with autonomy.
•Own the technical strategy for the product area, providing oversight of technical decisions (technical role; no expectation to contribute code).
