Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI engineers.
  • •Own the agentic harness for product and engineering, including skills, sub-agents, guardrails, verification, and the shared knowledge-base infrastructure.
  • •Build evaluation infrastructure so harness changes land on measurable signal through baselines and continuous improvement discipline.
  • •Drive inference economics by bounding AI-driven workflow costs using model routing, caching strategy, and choosing between self-hosted open-source and frontier models.
  • •Set engineering quality expectations for testing, design patterns, CI/CD, and observability across the harness and shipped systems.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years building production software, including 1–2 recent years deep in LLM applications, agents, and AI tooling.
  • •Build and ship foundation-model systems in production (prompt engineering, RAG, agent orchestration, evaluation, and fine-tuning when appropriate).
  • •Author agent components (skills, sub-agents, evals, verification harnesses) and ship experiments quickly, including replacing them.
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals: testing, design patterns, CI/CD, and observability for non-negotiable quality.
  • •Fluency in inference economics: model routing, caching strategy, and knowing when self-hosted open-source beats frontier models.
