Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose transformer failures and determine root causes of issues found during manufacturing or in the field.
  • •Perform hands-on troubleshooting including tear-down, inspection, disassembly, evaluation, and repair activities on returned transformers.
  • •Conduct mechanical and electrical testing to validate failure modes and confirm repair effectiveness.
  • •Investigate transformer failures, defects, and engineering change requests (ECNs) and recommend corrective actions.
  • •Create and maintain accurate records, investigation findings, repair status updates, and other documentation (e.g., DMTs, DMRs, ECRs).

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, assembling, or troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical equipment.

  • •Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical fundamentals and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
