Job Summary

Proactively source new residential mortgage business by building referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and community contacts. Guide clients to the right loan program, complete mortgage applications, and provide required compliance disclosures. Analyze financials to evaluate loan requests and collateral, structure loans in line with federal and state regulations, and maintain client communication throughout the loan process while adhering to HMDA and SAFE Act requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Solicit new residential mortgage business and build a recurring referral network.
•Help clients determine the proper loan program and complete mortgage applications for processing and underwriting.
•Provide required initial disclosures within compliance timeframes and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
•Create a marketing/business plan including potential and existing loan customers and referral sources, with contact frequency.
•Evaluate loan requests by analyzing financial data, qualifying collateral and credit history, structuring loans per lending practices and federal/state regulations, and maintaining client contact throughout the process.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Two (2) years of mortgage lending experience with proven mortgage production.
•FHA/VA experience required.
•Knowledge of federal and state lending regulations and consumer disclosure requirements.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; strong communication, customer service, time management, data entry, and math skills.
