Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform quality assurance inspections and in-process checks to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • •Take immediate action when product is out of spec (e.g., pulling product, notifying production, and supporting corrective measures).
  • •Support day-to-day HACCP compliance by monitoring critical control points, verifying records, and ensuring protocols are followed.
  • •Help oversee regulatory and sanitation compliance, including pre-operational sanitation checks and coordinating resampling and follow-ups.
  • •Serve as a resource for newer team members by guiding FS/QA processes, supporting training, and covering essential tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in meat science, food science, microbiology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • •Solid knowledge of QA principles, food safety, USDA, HACCP, and SSOP (with HACCP and SQF certifications preferred).
  • •Strong technical expertise in quality and regulatory programs.
  • •Able to read, write, and complete required documentation in English.
  • •Proficient in monitoring equipment and interpreting data. Microsoft Office experience required.
