Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support for research activities and required experimental procedures.
  • •Support microscopy image capture from pathology slides (still and video).
  • •Develop/maintain a database to monitor specimen collection timelines and sequencing results.
  • •Prepare specimens and perform molecular testing using relevant technologies based on manufacturer instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •NVQ/BTEC/ONC level three (or equivalent) with relevant subject experience in a lab/teaching or research environment.
  • •GCSE level 2 (A*- C/4-9) in mathematics and English (or equivalent).
  • •Practical experience with the listed techniques and working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice.
  • •Understanding of the Human Tissue Act.
  • •Familiarity with general laboratory equipment (e.g., balances, pH meters, autoclaves, glass washing machines, microscopes) and strong health & safety and communication skills.
