Lead mining operational and technical review for joint venture budgets and long-range planning within Albemarle’s Australia Joint Venture workflow. Validate mine production forecasts and plans, assess value uplift or erosion, and apply mining engineering principles to identify quality risks and opportunities. Represent Albemarle’s best interests in workstream and subcommittee meetings, keeping internal stakeholders informed on progress and feedback.

Key Responsibilities

•Embed Health, Safety, Environmental, and Community standards across joint venture interactions, reinforcing disciplined execution.
•Provide mining operational and technical review for joint venture operational budgets and long-range plans.
•Validate the operator’s mine production budget, forecast, and long-term plans to protect Albemarle’s interest and value.
•Present findings on technical work, highlighting potential value uplift or erosion alongside risks and opportunities.
•Attend workstream/subcommittee meetings and keep the Mining Manager and internal team updated on progress and feedback.

Key Requirements

•Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
•5–7 years’ mining industry experience, with predominantly hard rock metalliferous open pit exposure.
•At least 2 years of operational, site-based experience (e.g., production planning).
•Demonstrated experience using mine planning CAD and open pit scheduling software.
•Experience in mine planning with exposure to budgeting and/or long-term planning.
