Key Responsibilities

  • •Embed Health, Safety, Environmental, and Community standards across joint venture interactions, reinforcing disciplined execution.
  • •Provide mining operational and technical review for joint venture operational budgets and long-range plans.
  • •Validate the operator’s mine production budget, forecast, and long-term plans to protect Albemarle’s interest and value.
  • •Present findings on technical work, highlighting potential value uplift or erosion alongside risks and opportunities.
  • •Attend workstream/subcommittee meetings and keep the Mining Manager and internal team updated on progress and feedback.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •5–7 years’ mining industry experience, with predominantly hard rock metalliferous open pit exposure.
  • •At least 2 years of operational, site-based experience (e.g., production planning).
  • •Demonstrated experience using mine planning CAD and open pit scheduling software.
  • •Experience in mine planning with exposure to budgeting and/or long-term planning.
