Job Summary

Assist Herd Technicians with routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure animal welfare. Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform basic husbandry and veterinary-related procedures, including piglet processing. Maintain sanitation using high-pressure equipment, support animal movement and efficient flows, and keep accurate production records. Follow animal welfare, SOPs, and safety/biosecurity procedures while assisting with equipment and facility maintenance.

•Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform general animal husbandry tasks including basic veterinary procedures.
•Assist with moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flows.
•Sanitize and wash multiple farm areas using high-pressure equipment.
•Process piglets, including injecting medications, castrating, docking tails, and ear notching.
•Maintain accurate production information and update department records while following SOPs, animal welfare policies, and environmental/safety/biosecurity requirements.
