Job Summary

Operate vertical turning centers to produce specialized aerospace components using new state-of-the-art CNC equipment in a safe, clean, air and climate-controlled shop. Work with machining instructions, drawings, setup sheets, and first-piece/in-process checks to maintain precision, quality, and customer specifications. Collaborate with other CNC machinists and cross-functional teams while using company-furnished measuring devices and following safe material handling practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate vertical turning centers to machine specialized aerospace components and forgings.
•Receive and follow work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, first-piece and in-process check sheets from supervision.
•Read and interpret dimension drawings, sketches, tool setup sheets, and manufacturing instructions to set up and perform machining operations.
•Use precision measuring devices to verify dimensions and surface finishes against customer prints/specifications.
•Load/unload parts using an overhead hoist and handle materials carefully before and after machining.

Key Requirements

•1 year of experience in a transferrable industry with transferrable skills.
•Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension to read instructions and perform simple measurements.
•High School Diploma or Equivalent, Vo-Tech Certificate or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or related curriculum.
•Basic knowledge of machining principles.
•Ability to lift 50 pounds and successfully complete pre-employment evaluation.
