Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vertical turning centers to machine specialized aerospace components and forgings.
  • •Receive and follow work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, first-piece and in-process check sheets from supervision.
  • •Read and interpret dimension drawings, sketches, tool setup sheets, and manufacturing instructions to set up and perform machining operations.
  • •Use precision measuring devices to verify dimensions and surface finishes against customer prints/specifications.
  • •Load/unload parts using an overhead hoist and handle materials carefully before and after machining.

Key Requirements

  • •1 year of experience in a transferrable industry with transferrable skills.
  • •Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension to read instructions and perform simple measurements.
  • •High School Diploma or Equivalent, Vo-Tech Certificate or associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or related curriculum.
  • •Basic knowledge of machining principles.
  • •Ability to lift 50 pounds and successfully complete pre-employment evaluation.
