Key Responsibilities

  • •Own reliability across the full request delivery path, including edge network gear, DNS, load balancing, and service mesh components across data centers, AWS, and GCP.
  • •Drive network automation using config-as-code (Ansible, Terraform, GitOps) with CI validation and a network source of truth using IPAM.
  • •Identify and retire single points of failure on critical paths, and design/run failover drills to prove resiliency.
  • •Engineer client connectivity for circuits, VPNs, cross-connects, and FIX network paths, and build workflows and dashboards to reduce interrupt work.
  • •Improve observability and resiliency by streaming device telemetry, integrating syslog into the logging stack, and implementing full-path alerting and fleet hardening.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years running production networks with physical gear (routing/switching, BGP, firewalls, circuits, and cross-connects).
  • •Deep cloud networking experience in AWS or GCP, including VPC design, transit gateways/peering, network load balancers, and DNS.
  • •Ability to automate reliably—configs live in Git with review and CI validation.
  • •Experience with L4–L7 load balancing (HAProxy, NGINX, or Envoy), TLS termination, health checks, and operating Kubernetes ingress confidently.
  • •Strong reliability instincts, including rehearsal-based failover and the ability to work directly with clients’ network teams.
