Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot (Web, Data, Security, Actuator).
  • •Model and integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL), writing efficient queries and managing schema migrations.
  • •Implement API security including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, role-based access, rate limiting, and input validation.
  • •Write clean, testable code with unit, integration, and contract tests; optimize performance and reliability (caching, connection pooling, async/non-blocking I/O, pagination).
  • •Deliver observability and deployment through structured logging, metrics/tracing, health checks, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes concepts, and production support/on-call rotation (optional).

Key Requirements

  • •Strong knowledge of Java 8+ (preferably 11/17 or later) and Spring Boot.
  • •Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating external/internal services.
  • •Hands-on with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (JPA/Hibernate), including SQL/data structures, concurrency, and error handling.
  • •Experience using GitHub Copilot, Git branching strategies, and Maven/Gradle.
  • •Familiarity with API documentation and testing tools (OpenAPI/Swagger, Postman, Rest Assured), plus API security and architecture patterns.
