Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with internal consumer electronics, home appliance, and customer care teams to support commercial objectives while managing risks.
  • •Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including retail and B2B sales and distribution agreements, service contracts, promotional agreements, and technology licenses.
  • •Assess potential risks, manage commercial disputes, and advise on issues relating to transactions, ecommerce, and FTC matters.
  • •Review and advise on packaging, warranties, user interfaces, end-user license agreements, and other terms and conditions of service.
  • •Identify emerging legal and regulatory risks and provide guidance for business initiatives, product launches, and compliance improvements related to commercial transactions.

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited US Law School with 8-10 years of legal practice experience
  • •Member in good standing of one US State Bar, and ability to become a member in good standing of the Texas bar or qualify as in-house counsel in Texas
  • •Experience providing legal support to consumer electronics and home appliance retail, B2B sales, marketing teams, or ecommerce B2C teams
  • •Experience drafting, negotiating, and revising sophisticated transaction terms in partnership with business teams
  • •Experience identifying privacy, consumer, transactional, and regulatory issues and navigating risk across multiple stakeholders
