Key Responsibilities

•Define standards and vision for the Atlas SaaS data platform, leading architecture and implementation of components that drive performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and resiliency
•Drive the technical design of new features from inception to market with a focus on customer impact
•Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leadership to guide technical strategy, roadmaps, and inter-project dependencies
•Oversee the implementation of large-scale, cross-organizational features from design through delivery
•Handle production customer escalations and coach teammates to do the same

Key Requirements

•15+ years of experience designing, programming, debugging, and tuning distributed and/or highly concurrent C/C++/Java/Rust mission-critical software systems
•Experience running latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems
•Strong systems fundamentals, including multi-threaded programming and distributed systems at scale
•Familiarity with database internals or building core components for data processing systems
•Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers
